As a mindful member of the BiCSoM team you will be responsible for harnessing the power of cloud technologies to drive business growth and digital transformation for our clients and our lab. As an Associate Cloud Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients’ or our own cloud infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of their cloud-based applications.

The key responsibilities of the Associate Cloud Engineer would be:

    1. Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

    1. Expertly implement containerized solutions using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and other container orchestration tools on GCP.

    1. Assist clients in migrating their existing cloud solutions from AWS and Azure to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.

    1. Assist in the migration of on-premises applications to GCP, ensuring a smooth transition.

    1. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

    1. Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical assistance in implementing GCP services effectively.

    1. Implement best practices for security, data management, and governance to protect clients’ cloud environments.

    1. Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to optimize our clients’ cloud solutions.

    1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery.

  1. Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for the following in a Associate Cloud Engineer:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

    1. Proven experience of (0 to 2 years) with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.

    1. Demonstrated expertise in container implementation using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Google Cloud Run, or similar container orchestration platforms.

    1. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager for managing container infrastructure on GCP.

    1. Experience in migrating cloud solutions from AWS and Azure to Google Cloud Platform, with a strong understanding of the differences between these environments.

    1. Understanding of cloud security best practices specific to container environments and experience in implementing security measures on GCP.

    1. Knowledge of networking concepts, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Load Balancing, and VPN, with a focus on container networking.

    1. Strong scripting skills with languages like Python, Shell, or PowerShell, particularly for automating container-related tasks.

    1. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to containerized applications and microservices.

    1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

    1. Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Google Kubernetes Application Developer) are a plus.

Other information:

Work location: Bengaluru city and Remote
Working days – *6 days a week (In a month the 1st and the 3rd Saturdays are non-working days)
